CNOS V3.0 Entry

Cineleisure has always been one of my favourite place to go especially during my teenage years. Remember the olden days where Cineleisure is a must-go place during the weekends. We would just basically spent the whole day in there singing k, catching up some movies, crazily shouting over the arcade games we played because we were too excited and eager to win the game.... arhhhh those were the young days. 

I saw this CNOS V3.0 and was hesitating whether to join or not.... then I decide

"ONLY ONE CHANCE PER YEAR, GIRL"

So here I go~ For my food option in Cineleisure

This shouldn't be unfamiliar to you guys if you have been to Cineleisure. This Graffiti Cafe is located at Basement, down the escalator and you will see it! :)

I always have to eat this when I visit Cineleisure, no kidding. It's perfect when you just don't feel like having main course for meals and want to continue shopping after a bite.

Plus if you don't want to eat noodles, thats fine! Because they have a few desserts too!!!

Another reason to choose this shop is because of their graffiti wall. Aint they colorful and artistic?! They have repainted the wall I presume, if not you can actually see people leaving messages on the wall! 

HOW COOL IS THAT TO DRAW ON THE WALL LEGALLY? YOU TELL ME

Ok. Enough of the interior, time for my food! Wanton Mee with Black Sauce~

 And not forgetting this Lemon lime Aiyu Jelly! A sweet and sour drink with smooth Jelly, my all time favourite! Try this if you don't mind spending alittle more for such awesome drink.

backlog blogging

HELLO BLOG! omg. its 2 months into the new year and I have yet to blog any posts. I wanted to blog just yesterday and had a freaking hard time uploading the pictures in my phone to blogger. I don't know is it my stupid dumb com or is it the problem with blogger. Thats one of the reason why I have not been blogging. You know blogging should have many photos, or at least I like my blog to be. Pictures say a thousand words you know. okok enough of my excuses. of course I couldnt rmb every detail or interesting thing that happened these 2 months except to look at what photos i have taken. So a back blogging of these two months according to photos.

One of the hightlight of the highlight for Feb is her! no it is not my baby and I didnt have shotgun. She's my niece. very cute right?! super duper kawaii la. and what's more she is a vday baby. hahah. my dajie always want her to be a vday baby. She will be joining us in our house soon within this one or two weeks. Something new and refreshing going on in our house! damn she is really so cute. LOL

Then some day in January I have this photoshoot event with ettusais and the closet lover. It was really a very fun event and to get to know some new friends. and very brave of me to go alone, I could have grab someone there as well. oh well. so here are some photos that were taken.

And the process of taking the photos, now I know it is not that easy to take nice photoshoot for clothes. damn it you have to pose naturally infront of the camera so that the photo will turn out nice and natural (not like the ones that I took, very stiff). well i tried my best thou. Probably most people start out like this too and eventually get better. Practice makes perfect right?

make up in the process. One of the best makeup i think i had. Usually the other make up on me look.... erm very hideous. LOL I kinda love my eyes make up.

The closet lover owners were there too. To be honest, I have not know TCL for very long, in fact just recently when I get to follow them and went to a flea and warehouse sale. I didnt really like to shop online because I cant gauge my size, if not usually dont have my size because Im very small size especially bottom. And that day I got to try some of their clothes and roughly get to know what size should i wear. Kinda like their design and of course bought pieces for CNY. 

Then after a week or two and it is CNY. I have early reunion with my aunt and family because usually my aunt will go overseas during cny and my cousin have to go back to Cambridge for his studies. This year cny was abit quiet because we didnt have the usual MJ sessions for the first three days like we always do; MJ till the next morning. Instead, first day we went to visit my dajie mil house and mom church friend

The second day we went in to msia to bainian with my aunts. 5 plus in the morning and we headed in. super early because we are so afraid of jam. lucky there were none and I manage to catch a nap because i was too damn tired. Wanted to go restaurant for lunch but couldnt book any. suppose they were still closed. So we just have simple home cooked lunch. MJ abit and went supermarket to buy ingredient for steamboat dinner.

Then we went to the back of shophouses facing the field to play some crackers. Next year we must rmb to order earlier for the fireworks. we were so damn late to order and everything was sold out already. I only managed to get some from my friend contact. And I bought like duper lots of those sparkles. -.-

so we end up spamming the sparkles and drawing all these nonsense. LOL

This is the result of us being bored and daring. We saw a toilet bowl that has been dumped apparently because it stood alone there so lonely. So we decide to try on our sparkles power on the toilet bowl. At first we threw three dino eggs in, which had a glowing effect on the toilet bowl. Then we decide to throw ONE thunder bomb in, and tadah, the aftermath of that. LOL. really didnt expect it to blow up you see. we thought maybe it would just have a loud sound. Oh well. Then my cousin got "bombed" by the thunder bomb as well and soon after we stop playing. Headed home via Tuas link cause it got very jammed at causeway link when we checked the online camera.

Marble Slab icecream. It was really quite nice despite the fact that its expensive $15  for these two cups.

Ippudo ramen. I think i really do favor Ippudo than Tonkatsu.  Suppose this was sometime before CNY where I met my sis for lunch at westgate. 

Hot Tomato. The price is quite reasonable and the meal actually taste not bad either. 

stranger's reunion waffle! I finally got a time to visit this cafe after procrasinating and wishing to go.  Coincidentally I met my sis to collect things from her and we brought me there for lunch since it is near SGH. I would say not bad for a waffle like this. Too bad I dont understand coffee because I heard they are quite famous for coffee. Then again I would want to go again on a quieter day because I went there during lunch time and yea you know, its not that quiet for a cafe during peak hours.

spend quite abit on facial stuff. I rarely spend on facial stuff because of my sensitive skin and I just dont know those brands out there. Probably they know me. But I dont. Since when I realised my face need some care as well even though I dont really have pimple or outburst. I am actually very concern of my face de! Thats why I dont put makeup that often also because my face will have pimples when I put makeup. Of course I do know on some occasion I need to, like interview or some special days when I feel like putting. I hope these products do some good to my face! 

Graduating Stitch that my fighter bought for mi in thailand when she fought in Thailand. Left it at the gym thou.

of course Vday falls on one of these months, so here is my one and only vday gift. Pretty nice hur?

2013

Yet another last day of the year. It seems so fast for this year. The last when I looked at my photos from the beginning of this year, it just seemed like yesterday! Like it seems just a few days ago I had long hair but it was actually beginning of the year. 

Look at the strip! 

So some highlight of this year :

1. Of course it goes to my change of hairstyle from super long hair to super short hair. 

2. I watched my second musical - Phantom of the Opera in July, all thanks to my dajie. It was really fascinating 

3. Went to Taiwan for the second time in April

4. Went to KL for a week doing nothing and just eat and relax in August - it was very impromptu thou

5. Went BKK with my cousin in September and bought very little loots; it's weird you know

6. I joined Onyx this year and had big time adjusting to my life because of the schedule; till now I am just barely accepting it

7. probably came as a surprise or maybe not, but my almost 4 years relationship came to an end, with many years of friendship down the drain as well

8. I was shocked, but irony I knew I had to accept because thats probably part and parcel of life - my birthday this year. wont want to reiterate again. 

I guess this sums up for the year 2013. And of course I always like to believe that a new year ahead means a new beginning and probably a better one. 

I probably only have one resolution for the new year - To do what I want to do

Updates for Xmas and Bday

Tried this Mokata on an inpromptu request some days back at Golden Mile. I would say okay its not bad, probably we were dead hungry I guess.

 

And then it was Xmas! :) It's nice to have friendly and sweet trainee who would buy gifts for us as Xmas Gift. Mostly chocolates and I believe I ate some of them without taking pictures. Appreciated their gifts!

 

 

 

Then it was Boxing day! which also means my bday of course. This year, I was sad cause if not for my family (of course the usual) and him, there could have been no one to celebrate my bday. I could have been staying at home on my bday with no cakes. =(  suppose that is growing up life and when you dont really have very close jie mei.

 

So as usual, my family always do a pre celebration for me because first, eating during xmas is way expensive and fully packed with people. Second usually I dont eat on my actual birthday. Third, it was just  nice that dajie and mom was on leave on a weekday so we had a buffet lunch. Which means I didnt have my crab. double the sadness. But oh well. So we had this buffet lunch at Royal Park on Beach Road. Seriously, I think it was really not that good, probably because it was Asian food more than international. I always like more variety for buffet; I like Todai. But my mom wanted a Xmas buffet and it was not easy to reserve as everybody is planning for early buffet as well. I didnt take any photos except the dessert which looked soso too and limited choices.

Birthday Presents that I received this year.

from dajie because I requested it. Usually she gave me a big angbao. But well, I might as well get sth useful from her as present and not angbao.

These are from a trainee who always buy me food and snacks, afraid that I am always hungry. She is really a very nice and treat me like her xiao mei.

These is from Shan, my sis! She got a similar pair as me too so that maybe we could wear this to Taiwan next year. Maybe!

 

This is from my trainer and his gf, Kay. very huge sweet-like wrapping with chocolates inside. so cute!

I did have nice celebration thou despite the sadness. Went into JB for my favourite food and some shopping. I didnt have photos because I simply forget, just wanna enjoy doing what I like and relaxing. So I had stingray and KangKong, Loklok which was ok because I couldnt find the right vendor that cook very nice Loklok, my usual nasi lemak whenever I go City Square, Sweet Crepe. All my favourite food!

 

I also went to the cafe at Bedok which I mentioned in previous post. To-gather cafe. I believe that it would have been better if there were lesser crowd cause the day I went, there was supposeingly a company celebrating Xmas so it was abit noisy. The food was alright thou. Well, one thing off the checklist at least!

This was my first bday cake on my actual day. Its hard to find a decent cake during xmas season! Everything is log cake or chocolate cake which I dont really fancy.

So this ended my bday. I am still very happy to the one that helped celebrate my bday and accompany me for all the food that I favorited and thanks to everybody who wishes me and those who gave presents to me.

Xmas Eve

Time flies. It is already Xmas eve and not long enough, its another new year. Probably Im getting old or what, this year Xmas eve Im staying at home to eat steamboat with two others! Not a bad way to celebrate xmas isnt it? Of course two more days and it will be my birthday! Have received quite a few presents already - portable charger,moisturizer and cream,shoes. Pretty much all useful! My meimei is gonna get me a bag too! I actually post a instavideo on Kikki.k, almost want to get those stuff, like the turquoise clutch/the notebook/planner etc. Of course Im thinking Im not a student anymore and planner would serve no purpose for me. But its really pretty! so people if you happen to read my blog and want to send me presents, I jolly well am happy to receive! Just email me at youko_90@hotmail.com LOL. just kidding. Bet nobody will does that. But I just happy.

 

 I will blog on my birthday after 26 as I have few plans to get busy with! excited and happy. Really not bad this year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYBODY!

cheap deals VS service and quality

Sometimes, the deals on those social platform make me question their underlying purpose of advertising. The lack of customers and profit loss? Or just another channel of marketing to tap on more customers and buyers. Then after follows the question: if they make such deal, will the quality and standard follow suit as well since money=quality. Shouldnt they maintain the service or quality standard as well? Why the sudden topic on my blog then. let me explain.

 

I went to this Japanese restaurant at Raffles Place today because apparently my sister saw this deal on groupon and was pretty interested in it. It was from O'An Japanese restaurant located at Hong Leong Building B1. They got this 10 course meal for two and being Jap food lovers, we agreed to give it a try. So I sacrificed my sleep on a Saturday to go down to Raffles Place (afterwhich I still got to go gym). At first we were quite surprised there were alot of people and seemingly all groupon buyers. We had our seats and waited awhile before some staff came to take our orders. By the way, the 10 course meal includes and the order follows acccording to how we were served:

• Potato Salad 
• Tori Karaage Deep-fried Chicken 
• Agedashi Tofu 
• Salmon Sashimi 
• Tempura Assorted
• Tonkotsu Ramen
• Edamame 
• Grilled Saba Fish
• Temaki Handroll
• Sukiyaki Hot-Pot 

So the dish were served pretty slowly and one after another and not in one full set. We had to wait for quite some time before our Ramen was served. By the time we finished our ramen, there was no dish served to us already. We waited. and waited. Almost half an hour gone and they served us Edamame after we reminded them that half of our meal are not served yet. Again, we finished our Edamame and we reminded them for the food. For your information, we had our reservation at 1230pm and by 220pm we did not have our last three dish yet. Frustrated, I called the server and told him off for making us wait for 2 hours but not all our dishes were served. Seriously it was darn upsetting when you see other customers that came later than you had their meals and left while you sit there looking silly. Reminded them and they just shoved us with an answer of coming right up. Obviously it was not and there came my attitude. I insisted them to tell me how long do I still have to wait and here came the epic part; they do not have beef anymore and did not bother to inform us and only got the chef to prepare after I threw my attitude. Still can jolly well ask me if pork was fine and that she still can reply me saying just asking, you know for the sake of asking that kind. We ended up no appetite to finish the hot pot and left. This made me wonder and conclude: really we do have to pay for what we want and expect to have. I thought we were eventually still customers even though we might have bought some cheap deal for your restaurant. Very disappointing to say. 

 

Anyway, go download this app called dayre if you have not. It is practically a mobile blog and way more easy to use and blog. You can just post pictures that you capture on the spot ( blogger cant do that, not that I know of). So I have actually post my photos on dayre! So follow me dayre.me/peilingg.
